In 2009, Andy Clark started the triathlon team, Alien Racing, in Miami. Over the years the program grew to be the largest and most successful in Miami. With the majority of athletes focused on long course racing (70.3 and IRONMAN), in 2019, Andy decided to launch another club with a dedication to local races and beginner level triathletes. This is how The Miami Tri Club came to be. Today, both clubs are still going strong with hundreds of successful first timers and countless IRONMAN finishers!
Despite operating teams in Miami, Andy and his wife Stephanie moved to Oakland in early 2021. Right away they missed the "community" they had created in Miami. They missed seeing the athletes on a regular basis and the social aspects of their teams. Since 2021 they have talked about creating a program of their own here in Winter Garden. Well, the time for talk is over! They are excited to create a strong community of athletes, help them achieve their goals, and create some amazing friendships as well!
Coach Andy has helped hundreds of athletes get started in the sport and achieve things many thought impossible. Andy has multiple certifications and degrees in the multisport and fitness industry. Coach Stephanie's resume of triathlon accomplishments is too long to list! Highlights include: 9x USAT All-American, 27 x IRONMAN finisher, 7 x IRONMAN World Championship (Kona) and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship Qualifier, and multiple local podium finishes and overall wins. Steph and Andy met through the sport and are now married. It's safe to say their lives revolve around triathlon, and they wouldn't have it any other way. Their wedding took place at IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder on August 2nd, 2019 with about 75 of their athletes and friends racing with them!
